Leslie Case DiPietro, Esq.
Leslie Case DiPietro is a member of the bars of the Supreme Court of Delaware and the Maryland Court of Appeals, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. She is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to prepare, present and prosecute claims for veterans before the VA. Leslie has been in private practice since 2006.
Originally from the Dover, Delaware area, Leslie lived most of her grade school years in the greater Baltimore area, spending a number of her school breaks with her grandparents who maintained their home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. She is a graduate of Bel Air High School (1997), Bel Air, MD; University of Maryland (B.A. in Government & Politics, cum laude 2000), College Park, MD; Stetson University College of Law (J.D. 2004), St. Petersburg, FL; and Beasley School of Law at Temple University (Certificate in Estate Planning 2010), Philadelphia, PA.
After clerking for the Honorable Rosemary Betts Beauregard and the Honorable Kenneth S. Clark, Jr., of the Delaware Court of Common Pleas in and for Sussex County, Delaware (2004-2006), Leslie started her private practice with Sergovic & Ellis, P.A., which later became Sergovic & Carmean, P.A. (2008) and then Sergovic, Carmean & Weidman, P.A. (2011), where she became a partner in 2009. Leslie joined Procino-Wells & Woodland, LLC in 2016.
Since 2010, Leslie has concentrated her practice in the areas of elder law, asset protection, estate planning and estate and trust administration. During her first several years in private practice, Leslie devoted time to civil litigation, including matters involving adult guardianships, estate litigation, real property disputes and business law litigation. She served children who were neglected, dependent or abused as attorney for Delaware's Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (2011-2013) in Sussex County and a volunteer attorney ad litem for the Office of the Child Advocate.
Leslie is past President of the Sussex County Bar Association (2013-2014), where she previously served as Secretary for a number of years (2008-2013). She serves the Delaware Supreme Court as an Associate Trustee of the Lawyer's Fund for Client Protection (2014-present) and is a former member of the Delaware State Bar Association Executive Committee (2014-2015). She is an Associate Trustee of the Cheer Foundation of Sussex County, Delaware (2016-present). Leslie is an active member of the Terry-Carey Inn of Court, the Sussex County Bar Association, the Elder Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, the Southern Delaware Estate Planning Counsel, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, ElderCounsel and WealthCounsel.
In law school, Leslie earned the top trial advocacy award for her class. She successfully participated in three national Moot Court competitions, earning an award for "Best Brief" with her teammates at the 2003 Duberstein Moot Court Competition at St. John's University School of Law in Queens, NY. She also spent a semester as a law clerk to the late Honorable Alexander J. Paskay, of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Leslie shares her life with her husband, Tony, and their two sons, A.J. and Nathan, in Millsboro. Outside of her commitments to her profession, church and community, Leslie enjoys free time with her family and friends, spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors of Sussex County and traveling when the opportunity arises.
