Michele Procino - Wells, Esq.
Michele Procino-Wells is a member of the bars of the Supreme Court of the State of Delaware, the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the United States Tax Court. She is also accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to prepare, present and prosecute claims for veterans before the VA. Michele has been practicing law since 1995.

Michele is a graduate of Laurel High School (1987), Laurel, Delaware; Penn State University (B.A., Communications, 1991), State College, Pennsylvania; Widener University School of Law (J.D., Cum Laude, 1995), Wilmington, Delaware; and Villanova University School of Law (LL.M., Taxation, 1998), Villanova, Pennsylvania.

Michele started her practice at Schmittinger & Rodriguez in Dover in 1995. In 1998, she joined George B. Smith, Attorneys at Law in Georgetown, which later - after she became a partner in 2000 - became known as Smith, O'Donnell, Procino & Berl, LLP. In March 2005, Michele opened her own office in Seaford, now known as Procino-Wells & Woodland, LLC. In 2014, Michele was honored to be included in the class of Delaware Today's Women in Business.

Michele focuses her practice in elder law including asset protection planning for long term care (Medicaid and VA), wills, trusts, estates, powers of attorney, and health care directives.

Michele is a past President of Soroptimist International of Seaford, DE, Inc., and is the current President of Soroptimist's related foundation, the Curiosity Service Foundation, Inc. Michele is a member of the Board of Directors of Nanticoke Health Services, Inc. and serves as the chairperson of the Nanticoke Health Services Foundation. She is a member of ElderCounsel, WealthCounsel, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the National Care Planning Council, the Southern Delaware Estate Planning Council, and the Elder Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association.

In law school, Michele was the recipient of a Certificate of Achievement, Federal Income Tax, Widener University School of Law. She was a member of honor societies, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Delta Phi. She was also a member of The Widener Law Symposium Journal, 1994-1995 and the author of: Note, "The Death of Health Care Reform In 1994: Another Example of Congress' Inability to Enact Major Reform," 1 The Widener Law Symposium Journal, 547, 1996.

Michele resides in Seaford with her husband, John Wells, and their four sons, Chase, Josh, Will and Jack. Most of Michele's free time is spent cheering for her boys' baseball, lacrosse, football and swim teams. Otherwise, she loves to be with her family and travel.
